The AJ Foundation Bursary

As a non-profit organisation, all our efforts are focused on empowering communities in need. We believe a sure way of establishing sustainable upliftment is by educating the youth.

Our Aim

2018 was the first year of the AJ Foundation Bursary and it was a massive success! Not only did we raise enough money to fund a student bursary of R40 000, but with the help of an external sponsor, we managed to raise enough funding to cover the tuition fees of a second student.

Our aim is to improve this process and provide financial support to young students that cannot afford to further their education, awarding these bursaries annually.

Application Criteria:

The AJ Foundation bursary is open to any field of study at any registered South African tertiary education institution within the Western Cape. Applications for the 2019 academic year will open in September 2018. In order to apply for this bursary, the candidate should adhere to the following criteria:

The applicant must reside within the Cape metropolitan area.

The applicant must between the ages of 17-25 years old.

The applicant must be academically strong.

The application is open to individuals in possession of a national senior certificate as their highest qualification and those currently in the process of acquiring it.

There must be evidence of financial need.
